During my Collaboration Project class at the Academy of Art University, we work closely with NASA to create a mobile game on Unity that revolves around controlling Astrobee in third-person and working within the ISS. We were in charge of redesigning and simplifying the ISS to be spacious and organized, in order for the player to quickly find objects and navigate through the ISS with ease.
For 7 weeks, I was in charge of making the U.S. Lab, the Dining Room, and some props based on the Concept Art Team drawings and photo references from the ISS. The U.S. Lab was an excellent concept drawn by Alex Pedlar and the Microscope Monitor was a perfect concept drawn by Lu Zhang. I was responsible for creating optimal high-poly and modular minimalize low-poly models as well as creating simple PBR textures based on the guidelines provided by the lead 3D artist. I imported all my models and textures into Unity and render the final product images from there.
During my time in that class, I enjoyed working with other artists, designers, and leads on creating a game together!
